Vogone can work !

I have made a few posts prior to this one stating my dissapointment with the vocal reduction of Vogone 2. Last night, I thought I would try it again on a cd I had been looking for because I really wanted to use the songs for Karaoke. To my amazement Vogone 2 almost completely removed the vocal from this disc without totally killing the rest of the song.
So, Vogone 2 will work very well (on certain discs) you just have to keep trying to you find the ones that will work. The disc that I used was "The Guess Who's Greatest Hits".
I will now try to look for more to test.
Way to go MTU.

I have been able to reduce vocals on most CDs while listening to them through Vogone, but cannot save the tracks with the vocals reduced. Were you also able to save properly? If so, how'd ya do it? Thanks! MTU won't answer these questions for me.

ADMIN: When you click on the Write file button the new file is created in the directory on the hard drive that you selected.

If you click the Play button in Vogone it is going to play the original file,
not the newly created file!

To play your new file in Vogone, you must click the Select Input File button, locate the new file you just created and open it.

BASSN99,

I encountered the same problem right at first, as do MANY OTHERS. There's nothing wrong with the program, but sometimes when working with material that will not remove vocals, even though they sound removed when working the sliders, it appears the vocals have been removed and are not being saved as such, which is not the case..
I guess we all have to find that out for ourselves in our own good time. Glad you're still up and running.

Take care,

George
