after about 100 unsuccessful tries I once again hit rebuild database and it did. It took an hour, but it did. then I used my original hard drive and it worked fine.

Now a new problem. I copied all my files to another hdd to have a back up. they are on there, windows recognizes them... both hdd's are named F, and the new one is plugged into the same usb port as th original.

Hoster won't recognize the new drive. gives me the file not found on f: hoster kma. any ideas?

and yes I use xp...

Beavis March 22nd, 2008 07:32 PM

it may be set up as a dynamic drive rather than a basic.

this is more advanced, i dont think MTU would want me to instruct you on this.

just so i have it right, when you open my computer it doesnt recognize the drive ???

Bi-Polar Bear March 22nd, 2008 07:34 PM

no, my computer recognizes the drive and all the folders, and it is named f just as the original is. It's only hoster that won't recognize it.

Beavis March 22nd, 2008 07:37 PM

did you try restarting your computer with the drive hooked up ?

Bi-Polar Bear March 22nd, 2008 07:39 PM

yes.

Beavis March 22nd, 2008 07:40 PM

are you sure you looked good when you click the browse for drive button, sometimes there not in order.

Bi-Polar Bear March 22nd, 2008 07:50 PM
