If and when you do, let them know that you have their requested song now, or that you are still looking for the song that they requested, and you have a steady customer!), but you already do that... I have always done that for every request of every customer since I started karaoke four years ago. I now have 15,000 songs without any duplicates that are mostly by request and are all good singable songs. Not much junk at all. It was expensive at first, but I claim to to have the most extensive collection of singable songs in the area. In fact I often announce to the patrons to peruse the songbook and look for a song I don't have and guarantee it for them within two weeks. Always.

i havent been doing karaoke for about 3 mos. now, i've been turning down offers to do karaoke shows, i instead recommend my kj friends who does it for a living ( it's just a hobby for me ) dont wanna take that away from them, i just been doing private gigs, longer time but more money, but i sure do missed my regular singers who still calls me and asking if i am playing anywhere or still doing karaoke, but anyway i still do stay current with new karaoke songs, as a matter of fact i am importing new disc fron chartbuster right now CB 30084,85r/88 ( pop hits of the month )& 60392 ( country ) i am concentrating on top 40's for my djing , just downloaded 60 new releases from itunes, So.Fla. is getting busy right now, lots of co. functions/picnics, hopefully i get busy too...:):)

Well the date night with my wife has ended. A new club (I know the owners) opened up down the road and they asked me to host karaoke on Wedesday nights which of course I now do. My number one rule as a working entertainer has always been "Never turn down a gig" (unless you know it's a bomb or they are jerking you around). The one good thing is my wife is a teacher and school is out after this week, YEA!

I'm back in the saddle again! :w

Well, I am back on the saddle again, albeit a little leaner in the equipment side. ( I sold a lot of audio equipment over the last several weeks. Speakers 24 channel EFX gear, and my DJ and karaoke CD players) All I have left is one SKB travel rack, and a spare amplifier.

I have a gig once a week during the week on Thursday nights and hoping to land a Saturday night gig from the same place. I really need the diversion since work has become such a drag.:)

i dont turn down private gigs, ( except weddings ) if i get an offer to do bars/restaurants i always recommend friends that does karaoke for a living, same friends that asked me once in a while to help them host/set-up a show ( for free , i don't accept money from friends ) , luckily i have a good job working for the local gov't, and my wife is a surgical nurse, and also i wanted to spend some time w/ my 3 yrs. old daugter who couldn't get enough singing Hanna Montana/ Demi Lovatto songs...so luckilly i could kinda afford to turn /accepts job if i wanted to..
