If you don't want an image, choose the solid colour radio button and select a colour with the Bkgrnd Colour button.
If you want to display a different image, click the image button and brows to one of your choice.

Just a note regarding Hoster 5.09.....

The "Replace underscore characters....." option under Import Songs > Build Database > Define Field Order does not stay checked after closing the window. Is this working as intentionally designed?

Hoster rules!!!!!

I can confirm your findings with the above.

I was about to answer your other question with the quarantine folder but you must have deleted it :r

But basically if your music was on an external then it should build a quarantine folder on the external so if your external is drive E it would be E\MTU\Hoster\Quarantine If as I thought you said it filled up your C drive are you sure you were not importing duplicated files from your C\Drive ?

Re: Hoster 5.09 Has been released May 28, 2013

I found another post that addressed the Quarantine folder. I have no songs stored on my local hard drive. I just checked and there was no "Quarantine" folder created anywhere on my external drive. That would have made more sense.

I have downloaded the upgrade to my two laptop computers both running Win7. One computer was successful and the other one erased my karaoke files.

The computer that worked uses a portable hard drive to store my karaoke files and the other computer uses the C: drive. When I open the program on the one with the missing karaoke files, my playlists comes up, but all the songs have as a STATUS "unavailable". I opened the edit function and can access the listings of songs, but they don't play and the program indicates they are missing or have been renamed.

So, where have all the karaoke songs gone, and how do I get them back?

Thanks for any help,
Wes

Go to TOOLS... Hoster Data File...Computer... C:Drive... Program Data... MTU.com...Hoster... Songs (mdb)

This will get you to the database of your songs... rebuild database from the TOOLS... Songs Database ***

Make sure the New Database Location is indicated in the "Stored In" area of the Window...

I recon you have the same problem Ckaraoke had see this thread: http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?t=13337

My answer to his problem was in post #17 so if that sounds like what happened to you follow those instructions.

Roy,

Thanks again for your help. I believe it is almost back to where it was.

If that's what all the upgrades are going to do to my system, I'm going to be in trouble. What a royal pain in the ***.

Tnscottie,
As to your question about this.

The "Replace underscore characters....." option under Import Songs > Build Database > Define Field Order does not stay checked after closing the window. Is this working as intentionally designed?

Yes, this is how it should work, as you may import some songs that have this, and some that do not have it. So you manually would need to turn this on when you need it.

Wrahn,
This should be the ONLY update that would do this, and it will only do that if you had all your songs stored within the C:\MTU\Hoster folder. If you had them in the C:\MTU\Kma Files, which was the original default, you would not have had this issue.

I installed the Hoster 5.9 and everything works fine. Except that I cannot view the Manual by clicking on the link at the top of Hoster.

Will I have to reinstall Hoster to get that function?
Thanks:r

By the way, Delete was also appearing in the Singers List window, but it doesn't make sense there either, so I fixed this, too.
Just noticed this, isn't the delete function in the singers' list used to remove songs from the singers list. Unless I am misinterpreting this somehow, this would be a useful function, wouldn't it?

Bryant, isn't it just as easy to highlight the song and hit the delete radio button?

I don't know why it doesn't take to the manual but you can go to MTU.com and find the manual there.

Re: Hoster 5.09 Has been released May 28, 2013

I don't know why yours isn't working, Have a look in your C\Program Files(86)\Micro Technology Unlimited\Hoster folder, do you see a file there named "Manual" if so open it and see if it contains a lot of files then look for "hosterman.htm"or "hoster-frame.htm if it does click one see if it opens the manuel.

If that opens it then it seems the link is Brocken in your Hoster.
If that is the case try renaming the the "Manuel file" then reinstall Hoster see if that rebuilds the link.

Re: Hoster 5.09 Has been released May 28, 2013

I can see the folder you mentioned and I can click on the link in the folder and it does open.
I tried reinstalling and that does not help

Maybe uninstall, remove registry components and reinstall?

The only part that I am worried about are the singers.

I spent all day organizing singers songs at a club I karaoke at for the singers list and I don't want to loose them because I deleted all there songs in the open list.
Is that possible? This not a high priority for me just a small inconvenience.
Thanks Roy
