tried that too..i can stretched it up to my 3rd monitor and still the same problem, extend it to 2nd monitor, i'll get a glitched, music goes out of sync..play it on primary monitor alone using wmp and vdj program, no problem at all, extend it back to 2nd display and minimizing it. problem goes away...so in my opinion Hoster has nothing to do with it..it's the graphic cards thats is not powerful enough to play music videos, and also when playing music videos, cpu uses too much power, so you might wanna check on that too |

I can understand the CPU working overtime especially if the video card's GPU isn't up to the task. This one has me baffled! Will play with it more. The videos that you are having problems with (studdering), Did you rip them straight from the DVD or did you use DVD Ripping Software? If you used DVD Ripping software, what is the Name of the program? |

Just curious what the "File Association" ("Opens With") might be for the files you are downloading from ITunes. I have the "File Association" for all my video files (VOB, MPEG4, MPEG2, DAT) set to ("Opens With") WMP. I'm at the gig now and set up, will monitor. |

it opens with FLV ( Flash Video File ), i'm using this since you can not burn or copy music video when downloaded from itunes |

All mine open with Media Player Classic. That player may be associated with your DJ Software. Do you have K-Lite Codec Pack (Full) installed? |
Re: Problems playing video files on extended desktop

yes i have k-lite full pack..the thing is no matter what codec you used, you and i will have the same problem, if music video is extended to other monitors, all my files are mpeg4, i've tried downloading theses videos from hd to standard / lowest resolution nothing helps.i know that it will play w/o a problem on my primary monitor, and as long as i minimize the video on my extended monitor to about 3/4 and place it on the center of the monitor, i dont have any problem...try downloading the FLV player, it might work on you |

My system and setup play like it is supposed to. I suspect your video issues and possiably Chad's are due to a player other than Media Player Classic is causing the solw to play (Chad) and sizing problem (You and Chad). |

just read ]something about your current graphic card '' g-force is built to support, by default, a single monitor consequently does not have controls for multiple monitors. The reason for this is that there are thousands of diff. combination of video cards video drivers and operating system control, however most multiple monitor configuration have drivers/system control for managing multiple screens, review your existing system controls for your graphic card driver feature" |

Not sure how the above applys. However everything is working great here, even when I connect 4 displays ( 1 LCD singers monitor, 2 LCD 32" Flat Panels, and a projector or 60" plasma). On top of that I'm using a Beta version (NVidia's newest) of my Video Card's driver. It all plays full screen wether it is video (VOB, MPEG4, MPEG2, DAT), CD+G, MP3+G, KMA. |
Re: Problems playing video files on extended desktop
glad its working , i haven't been doing a lot of karaoke lately and i have not tried to play music videos on Hoster, i've been doing a lot of djing, mostly private parties ( more money ) and it's just in the last few weeks that i got into playing music videos.which is not really that critical for me to have it working , since no one sees it except me, .hopefully in the near future i will be able to get this little issue fix..but anyway i'm glad to read that everything is working fine now...

Re: Problems playing video files on extended desktop
Billyo, why not convert your music video to vcd compliant format(Mpeg1 or mpeg2) and play it on hoster
