sorry i dont know what you mean by " ticking the box " but anyway, while waiting for the HOA for an approval to move into the new house, i decided to unpacked my back-up laptop and tried to re-install. again, i did all the updates, defrag & clean registry, defrag hhd.anything i could think of..still to no avail.. progress bar goes almost to the end..then error msg. i'm just gonna give up on this.i'm the kind of person that will only asked once or twice and if i dont get an answer i'll just forget about it..and since i havent heard or read anything from MTU, and just gonna go with v4.21..thanks for the suggestion though..

Billy the box he is referring to is the box on the Personal Information page during the installation that clears the registry settings for Hoster back to default.

Re: v4.22 Failed to load

For those who have Windows 7 64 bit there is a bug causing this problem and they are working to fix it. Should be another download out late today.
Billy I don't know what to tell you on yours other than look at your laptop mfg website and see if they have any updates there that might be specific to their laptops.
What brand and model is it? I would like to research this one.

Instructions to finding your Service Tag Number on a DEll Computer, Use This link to the Dell Support site http://support.dell.com/support/down...=us&l=en&s=gen , Then choose the link under the "Choose by Service Tag" Box, Click on the "Find My Service Tag" link and it will find it for you..

Good Luck

Billy have you ever done any update from Dell? If not there are quite a few updates listed. There is 1 Bios, 1 Application that says urgent, and several others for Sound cards, Video, etc. that you may want to do. The Bios update could fix it where you could install SP3.

Re: v4.22 Failed to load

MTU has found out the problem and should be re-releasing 4.22 with a fix. It is that Microsoft updates does not load some DLL files that are needed for the install to work. So some computers have them and others don't. This will be taken care of through the install program.

so when the new upgrade ( fix ) comes out, do we just replace the existing download ? what about the ones that installed w/o a problem do we keep them or we have to removed / re-install them. how would we know if it's the new ( fix )upgrade,

ddouglass July 8th, 2010 08:50 PM

Re: v4.22 Failed to load

If it installed correctly then that means you already have those files on your computer, so no you do not need to re-install.
The only thing this is fixing is for those who do not have the DLL files needed on their computer. Nothing else has changed.

Hey billy, glad you're up and running now. And i agree on mtu's customer care it's top notch. I knew they'd get you going. Lynne had to get me running finally...mtu didn't want to take my money from my download link. But she got me going just great. Hoster is up and purrring right along. Those folks at mtu treat ya right......:)
