Songverter will do this too. This wasn't exactly what you asked in first question. You asked if zipping a bin file would save space.

Obviously a Zip file (containing MP3 & CDG files) will take less space on a drive then a BIN file. The drawback of course is quality loss.

Look at it this way. If you import from a zip file, Hoster will create a separate KMH file in the same folder where the zip is located. These files must remain together for Hoster to find them. And of course you have a slight lag because Hoster must unzip it to play.
If you import it from a BIN, Hoster creates a KMA file containing all the information (with less loss than MP3) and places it with the rest of your KMA files. You can then take the BIN and store it in any location or on another hard drive if you want.
