I have a USB I/O interface for Hoster & use the sound card built in for the audio. I prefer the hands on method personally, since I do not allow songs to play to the end if they are instrumental, I just fade into the music & call the next singer, fade out when the next song starts. Just a preference. Quote:
I just have it on the 2nd screen playing on a continuous loop - about 45 minutes worth of pictures at this time, so never need to touch the controls. Quote:

It always recognizes the TV at bootup - I mean after a couple hours of switching back & forth between the computer & the player, eventually when I switch back to the computer the TV is no longer recognized. It will only recognize the player. So, I have to reboot while switched to the laptop so it will recognize it again. How do you switch Video back & forth between the laptop & your separate player?:? Re: showing a slide show, do you bring the Singers screen back to your Desktop after every song so the audience can see the Slideshow in between Singers? |

Hmm. I just use a video switcher with a buit in RF converter. Never lost video signal since I started using computer. Not sure what would cause that. Quote:

Ok you two...if you want to discuss setup take it to another thread or use private messages. Wrahn started this thread for help on selecting a laptop, not how to setup a slideshow. He got some suggestions, so I am closing this thread.
