This crash happens when hoster is about to open.....I just upgraded my show computer a few minutes ago and it went smoothly from v4.09d to v4.10..
Working fine. What about the video card that i'm using..Does it makes any difference...It is ATI AIW 9800 series. I removed DAO 'cause i thought that would help... Well, i think i have to sign off now and continue tomorrow..Thanks

Dale,

Thanks for all the help that you provided me to my problem and the rest of the people who's using all this products. You and your attitude are a big asset to the success of MTU. Your support helps a lot of users..... But, going back to my issue, I've decided that I would redo my computer from scratch since i have the time to do it.. Well, it might be a hardware problem or other software that's conflicting Hoster.. I think, for me , is the fastest way. I'll just save some info Of Microstudio, Songverter and Hoster, itself, just in case i encounter some problem. Once i install windows xp pro, and all its updates, i'll install Hoster first before anything.... Thanks again and More power to you...

try this,

Fix: Delete Hoster's Persistence Registry Keys.
1.Left click the Start Menu and click Run.

2.Type in regedit and click OK or Open.

3.Go to the very top of the Registry Editor. It you already see the Registry Keys expanded below, skip this step and go to the next step. Click the + beside My Computer.

4.Click the + Beside HKEY_CURRENT_USER

5.Click the + beside SOFTWARE

6.Click the + beside Micro Technology Unlimited

7.Click the + beside Hoster

8.Click Default to select it. WARNING! Be VERY careful to have this exact location selected. If not and you proceed, you could damage your Windows installation, requiring it to be re-installed to fix it. BE VERY CAREFUL! With Default selected, press the Delete Key Click Yes when it asks you if you are sure.

9.Click the X in the Top Right corner to close the Registry Editor.

10.Open Hoster. It will be as if you started from scratch.

Be sure you uninstall the MTU products while on-line before you rebuild the computer.

yeah,
I'll do this slowly. Uninstall Hoster, Microstudio and Songverter one at a time... Bryan, I try what you recommended and it didn't work but thanks much for the last minute advice. It must be my computer, I believe... Wish me luck , gentlemen...

UPDATE:
Like what I said, I uninstalled Hoster, Microstudio and Songverter, Then, I took out my video card (ATI All in Wonder 9800 series) and used the built in Intel Extreme Graphics. Installed xp pro (format the hard drive) and after activation, i installed all windows updates (auto and custom). I installed Advance System care to clean the computer registry and some other trash. Installed some utilities like (winrar, adobe reader, flash plug-ins). After, a few minutes of playing and testing the computer, I decided to install Hoster v4.06a and it finishes completely, after reboot, opened Hoster, test the cd drives (it pass-okay). Then I rebuild my song database and waited 2-3 hours to finish (97000 kmas).
After it's done, tested and played for a few minutes and then installed the upgrade v4.10. Everything went smoothly and reboot, opened it without any glitch or error message. Tested again and up to this point still palying with it to see anything wrong. I believe it's working properly now and it's worth my time redoing it rather than troubleshooting. Time is so very important but, I pay a lot of respect for all people who tried to give me some advices and help and to MTU support, too.
Opinion: I think, my video card is the one making conflict before 'cause the reason why i built this computer for dedicated Hoster and other MTU programs is my original computer is having a lot of error and cannot upgrade from v4.06a to v4.10. It has ATI All in Wonder 9600 series. Exactly the same problem, I don't know why but anyway, just to let you know, i'm back and thanks again to everyone..

Today, installed Microstudio and Songverter and it went smoothly, too

Glad to hear it worked.
I would also recommend one more thing to do if the System Care didn't do it for you. That is to defrag the drive. It is unbelievable how much fragmentaion is cause by Microsoft's XP installation. This will help keep things up to speed too.

Up to this time, I closed my case....
