To tell you the truth, i just hate "Vista"...i'll take my old XP anytime. Now, back in the days of old, my windows 98, and millenium worked better then either one of the new ones... George :r

I will never even consider the use of vista. Am fortunate i guess to have three laptops and a shuttle, all fairly new, and all XP.

I have only recently acquired a Vista machine and after disabling all the thrills as advised in the Hoster instructions, have had no more problems than when first acquiring XP.

Beavis is correct that Vista already has WMP version 11. Thomas's problem was not necessarily that he had the wrong version as Hoster will work with any version from 9 up. His problem appears to have been a corrupted or bad DLL file that he corrected by upgrading. If he still had version 9 this was the only way he could have as Microsoft doesn't have 9 available for download any more.

Sorry to hear that. I have only tried running Hoster 4.06 on Vista, none of the other MTU software.
The only other thing that I have had problems with is my old Sound Blaster software which I used for recording, it no longer works and sound blaster is not supporting any more. The card itself works OK but the little recording program, which I liked doesn't

I have some of the other MTU Programs on my XP laptop but as my main computer is for Karaoke shows I'll just keep Hoster on it.
