I forgot to inform this issue

I noticed that on both of my main computers I get a small interruption in the sound, the lyrics continue to show so the music falls behind the lyrics for the duration of the interruption. It happens with Hoster 4 and even with 3, as you noticed below I have Vista and XP both with the same problem. Most of the time it happens when I start to search for a song like in the first 10 seconds or so after the current song starts playing.

That was one of my major concern when I discussed with others around the forum about the difference between 3.21 and 3.4. I have 4 other laptops with 3.21 installed and I'd never encountered this trouble before. I noticed last night show had more of these small pauses on both Hoster 3 and 4 using the computers described below.

All of my files are KMA and I use an external (320g) with half of it empty to store them.

Above you said "Hoster 4" - which version? Those having problems with 4.04 and 4.05 reverted back to 4.03 with little or no problems. 4.03 has worked fine on my Vista. While you're waiting, be sure & read the Manual and make sure you have done all updates & everything that is required. 4.0x with all the new features does use more resourses and has more requirements than 3.321 did. You may also find some insight in the "Troubleshooting" section.

We've been testing 4.06 all week & it should be available very soon fixing all the reported problems.

This is the interesting part. You say it happens on both XP and Vista. What do these 2 machines have in common that most of the rest of the Hoster users don't have.

1. Nvidia graphics card. I have long suspected something screwy with Nvidia drivers but I don't have enough info to form a hypothesis yet.

2. Do you use the same anti-virus or anti-spyware on both machines?

3. Are there any other programs or services that they have in common that may be running in the background?

4. You don't mention the sound card in your sig. Are they the same? Do the run the same drivers?

We are no longer testing 4.06 Beta. 4.06 was released and testing has begun on 4.1.

The original thread was for James W Murray. Even though he was no a beta tester, he was given a copy of 4.06 beta to see if it would fix his sync problem.

I was responding to rickyrey. He posted in another thread that he was STILL having problems. I told him I would check back on his original post and see if I could be of some assistance.

I see - I just noticed that what you responded to was what Rickeyrey had posted a month ago, before the final release of 4.06. So it appeared that he might also be using a Beta copy or something other than the latest 4.06 version. (Things have been happening pretty fast lately & just wanted to be sure you all have the latest & greatest.:g)

I too thought it was resolved with the final release. He posted today though on another thread that he is still having problems.
