God I wonder what this is gonna cost after all is said and done however at least I will be able to use my Dell PC as back up til it comes home I freek when I don't have at least 2 computers up and in running condition, I hate using my cd's but if I had to I would use them crying the whole time til my computers were fixed(I'm a BIG SPOILED BABY BECAUSE OF HOSTER) Show just run smoother. Fixing to Buy 4 more computers at the beginning of the year. I presently have 2 computer systems and 2 cdg systems, My Cdg system I rent out for privite parties with a Dj who I pay.

If you unistall Hoster 4 (to move to another computer) without being online, MTU will have no way of knowing you did this and the install on your new computer will fail. I hope this helps clear things up. :g Jim |

As long as you can uninstall 4.xx while online, you free up that install to put A. Back on the same machine after a clean OS install or upgrading components or B. On a new machine after replacing older or failing hardware with a whole new computer. This saves support from at least a little of the never-ending task of trying to determine if you really need a reg reset, or are trying to game the system. |

If your computer "crashes" before you have the opportunity to remove Hoster 4, you will have to contact MTU for a reset. Mark is correct. :c Jim :g |
On a side note,
I have vista and have never had issues with 4.03. It runs great!! Now 4.04 is a whole nother story. |
I mean no offense to anybody on this forum and this is not directed at you Gators66 but in my personal opinoin I think VISTA IS UNSTABLE RIGHT NOW and the folks who bought it and the folks who have to write programs for it are suffering (gee... that's eveybody who uses vista :e). Microsoft just watches the money roll in while we get program upgrades where bugs have been fixed but some folks can't enjoy them because Vista has created another black hole.
I've been running my shows (on XP) with Hoster 4 since before it was released and it is an awesome program to run a karaoke show with. My singers are spoiled and I love it that way. Vista is keeping folks like Gator66 from enjoying the same benifits as me. This burns me but there is nothing I can do about it. :? :r Anybody who is having problems with 4.0 should go back to using their previous stable version of Hoster. MTU is wrestling with Vista daily and will not let it win. Thanks for letting me vent and GOD bless. Jim :g |

I'm sorry 4.04 is not working for you. I'm not offended by your post at all. Since 4.04 is giving you problem you did the right thing by going back to 4.03. 4.04 works fine for me. :? When I said "anybody who is having problems" I didn't mean just vista users. It is a fact that MTU is wrestling with vista, but I wasn't saying that only vista users are having problems. Let me try to be a little clearer on my observation. Because vista is unstable right now, MTU is having to work five times as hard just to get something to work correctly on vista that works like a champ on XP. They've never had to deal with this before and they are now 10 months behind in the development of Hoster 4. When you add the fact that XP users like yourself are having problems, the black hole just gets bigger. Microsoft will get vista stable one day and MTU will get Hoster right no matter what it takes. We'll all just have to help each other through. These are my observations and opinions. They are not the opinions of MTU, just me. I agree with Bigjohn and also believe that 4.05 should be good for all. Jim :g |
