Try this Kelly: With both versions of Hoster closed, move the song and songs_backup and the bucket Microsoft Acess files into a seperate folder on your desktop (or wherever). In other words get them out of the c:\MTU\Hoster folder. Open 4.02 and your database should rebuild then check things out. A TIP: The program buy default looks in the C:\MTU\KMA Files folder for your KMA files. :w I'll be up so hang with me. Jim :g |
My kma files are on my external. I tried something and right now they are both working. I deleted the desktop short cut to 3.40 and went back to the folder and reinstalled it. They are both working now. Gheeez!:e
Kelly - whose keeping fingers crossed and refuses to jump up and down with joy.:r:g |
SH!#$@%$#@%.:g
I brought up 4.02 . loaded some songs and let the first one start. Stope song and turned off 4.02. Turned on 3.40. The songs I had entered are there of course. Started the first one again and it played. Stoped it and tried to play the second one and 3.40 couldn't find it. It's like as long as 4.02 plays it; then 3.40 finds it. Will try what you last posted. The reason I aSked your to delete the files was to see if they had become corupt and were causing the problem. NOT AN ISSUE! I'm gald you are up and running, THE MOST IMPORTANT THING :r :w :c :g Enjoy the new features. Jim :g |

I have never had to use 3.40 in a show BUT if I recall correctly, 4.02 and 3.40 will run side by side operating one at a time of course. Restart your computer. Open 4.02 and run a few songs in auto mode. Stop 4.02 but leave it open Open 3.40 and see if it runs. Jim :g |
Did what you suggested Jim. Still no go. Still wondering if I should uninstall/reinstall.?
Kelly |
Second suggestion doesn't work either.
Kelly |
3.40 seems to only play a song if it is first played in 4.02.
Kelly |
Yes, If none of this worked, use Contol Panel/Uninstall Program to remove 4.02 (which gets 3.40 out too) and reinstall. I'd restart may machine before reinstall. Another thing I recommend is to hit the Reset Display button in the Options section of the Tools menu before you uninstall 4.02. This will put the second display back on the computer decktop. :w
I'm up wit' cha :c Jim :g |
Kelly,
Do a search for Songs.mdb and see if there are any other copies on your C: drive. With all the moving around of files in the 3.316 - 3.321 changes to get Vista working you may have another old copy lurking somewhere that is causing problems. |

Did you do as Dale suggested? there may be songs databse file located somewhere else on your machine. If you find one, delete it. If not, reinstall Hoster 4.02 the do windows search for "hoster" and delete these folders then reinstall. This whould give you a clean start. Jim :g |
Yes I did. No other files.
