Sometimes it's frequent, other times very infrequent. It does not cause any problems, it just gets annoying! You can click out of it and keep on trucking...

The message is: Job cannot run because of not original destination.

At the top of the error box it says, "destination warning"

(no other computers have it running) I'm running into the usual "Computers Running" installation problems but while I'm waiting for my ticket I took a look and see that Version 5.00 is out there

1. Will this version allow the creation of duets where singers sing different lyrics, not in the same rhythm Like Frere Jacques ?(The description says "different lyrics-at the same time" I'm not sure what that means-does it mean that the words have to be said syllable for syllable, or was it just advertising showing that all combinations are now possible?

2. Can I just Pay the "Upgrade" fee and get this version even though my 4.107 has been inactive for over a year?

3. Is all this a moot point if I have Windows 7? After completing a song, when I click on PLAY FINAL, the regular play screen pops up, and when I click on play, the program abruptly closes.

Also, the tester in me couldn't help notice that there is nothing advising the singers which color they are to use. This is protocol in every commercial duets track I've ever seen. Some of them are sorry, but they're there. I couldn't find anything in the manual covering this. If I missed it, my apologies.

There is a workaround for this. Most audio tracke have a couple of seconds or more of blank space. In your lyrics simply add three lines BEFORE your countdown, or opening instrumental. Use those three lines to identify the colers for BOY, GIRL, BOTH..(or whatever terminology you use) and immediately after you click the START button to start sweeping the song, sweep through those first three lines before the music starts, and then continue on normally.

I paid for an upgrade this morning and couldn't load it. When I put the new registration code in, I got a message to enter the old registration code. I did and then it took me to the mtu web site to pay for the upgrade. I already paid for the upgrade, received and email confirmation and the new registration code. Won't install. If this wasn't bad enought it took me over an hour to submit a support ticket. It wouldn't send. In the interim I made several attempts to call MTU but each time I received "Leave a message, I am either away from my desk or on another line". Same as always. I remember when you could call MTU and talk to someone. Now they are to busy and when we have a problem with their products you must fill out a support ticket and maybe they will respond within 48 hours, of course this is a holiday weekend so who knows. Funny thing though, they take your credit card and submit it immediately. Ahhh, the wonderful world of computers. I know there are many of you that are hard core supporters of MTU as I once was, but my patience is getting pretty thin now and I don't know how much more I am willing to accept on the terms offered. From what I see the changes are insignificant, especially since I am in the boat of having to pay for the upgrade. I am running Hoster on a laptop that uses Windows 7. I have made the necessary updates according to website. I purchased the Hoster suite in August and yesterday upgraded to Hoster 4.3. After what I assume to be a successful download of hoster430setupexe to my desktop, I ran the program and rebooted the computer. Attempts to open the program have been problematical, however. Upon clicking the desktop icon the computer opens the program and subsequently nothing happens. This is to say that according to the task manager, Hoster is running and using 50% of CPU capacity, however there is no video representation that the program is running IE no Hoster window is apparent. I have no second display hooked up and no changes have been made in display settings. This is the second laptop that I have attempted to download Hoster to. The first computer successfully downloaded and runs the program. I spent over $2,500 one afternoon at sound choice. They gave me these cup holders, i think i have a set of four. A cap, a key chain, and if memory serves me right a small pocket flashlight. I still have everything someplace around here. Of course i wouldn't spend 25 cents there today. But my how the karaoke climate has changed.
I think i will just hang on to everything for now. When they finally go bankrupt, i will put them on ebay as collectables for a couple grand...hahaha:t

I have written both these greg morton masterpiece's to a karaoke file using Microstudio, and KH Pro. Last night i sang "Obama In Mom Jeans", and the vets at the american legion club just loved it. Thanks mtu.:t

I am getting a new one from him and he is trying to uninstall Hoster Lite from my old laptop and install the same version on my new laptop using the download link and codes.

Problem is that when he tries to uninstall Hoster from my old laptop he gets this error message in an InstallShield Wizzard error box.

Now comes another phase... learning to use the program. I finally got the 2nd screen working but I have NO COLOR on it. only black and white. I have gone to the tools, display etc and changed my color options but still nothing but black & white. Also, the colors on the little screen on my monitor are fine. Also the banner across the top shows on my monitor but not on the second screen. I really need to correct this as alot of my singers are older and of course their vision doesn't do well without drastic color change between the background screen and the words.

Any suggestions? I did manage to put 4.22 on the show laptop before the update period expired. I just never got around to putting it on the office machine until now. 4.22 has solved the lyrics sync issue so far but it appears to have traded lyrics in sync to intermittent stuttering audio and hanging search. Replace the old bugs with bright shiney new ones!
:?Nobody else has reported this problem. Sounds like you either need more RAM or need to update and/or do some maintenance on your machine. The only problem reported with 4.22 is with BA on under-powered computers.

I've had my share of problems also, but if you have had problems with ALL 4.xx releases:e, then it's definitely your machine. Many people have reported on this Forum that they are still using the older 4.x releases, and only having problems with 4.22 because it has so many new & great features that it simply requires more computer resourses that some of the older machines just don't have. Sorry, but I had to put in my 2cents.:c You'll see this to be true if you read all the past Posts on this Forum.
