"CreateSurface Failed" error message

Gentlemen,

When I try to play a "cdg" file with MicroStudio v2.311 I am, for no apparent reason, getting the following error message:

"CreateSurface(4) Failed"

I then have to reboot to get MicroStudio to play any file. The file in question will then run successfully.

Do you have any ideas as to why?

What version of Windows are you running; Win98, 2000, NT?

Make sure you have Windows Direct-X 8.0 or higher.
