Is anybody else having problems with the "Best Brand (http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?t=4863)" and "A Bad Salesmen Will Always Drop His Price! (http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?t=2517)" poll threads?

For me they keep showing there are new posts in them from George and MasterJP80, but when you open them the dates on the last post are 2003.

Bryan are these two polls broke or is it just my computer?

I think it may be that someone gets in and adds to the poll but does not leave a message. That's all that i could think of that might create that condition. That seems to make sense to me.

DDOUGLAS,

It's not just you.

I've noticed for some time that for no apparant reason, once in awhile an old post will appear when I search for new posts.

I have closed these very old posts and polls to insure they don't get voted on any more. I didn't see any but George's name posted there, so I don't know how Dale was sent a message. :?

George has reported several times receiving old Forum Thread notices. We have no explanation. This is a Forum script, the most used in the world to our knowledge, and like any web tool, it has its querks.

Also... it may be that of the 20+ computers between MTU.com and George, one captured an email sent to George in the past, maybe during a virus infestation, and just released it to go on its merry way.

It is amazing to me that the Internet works as well as it does. After all, the computers are in control. :e :r

I wasn't getting email about them but they would show up when you use the "New Posts" link at top of forum. :) :g

Me too...no emails. Like I said above, just when searching for "New Posts".
