For us musical retards, how many of those half-steps make one octave?:?

For that reason some machines have 6 up and 6 down This figures that people will sing in the octave that best suits them.

Keyrite is a plus or minus five. That doesn't cover it all. You can do a song down five, then do it again down 1 in order to accomplish the six. ( or (3 down and 3 down) or (2 up and 4 up) etc.)
