Karaoke Deluxe 3000

I am very new to Karaoke, and I can't afford a machine. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with software called Karaoke Deluxe 3000. I found it for $12.95 on one site, and $24.95 on another site. I don't want to buy the software, only to have OTHER equipment that I don't have now. The ads promote that I can install and sing from my computer, instead of plugging in a machine to my TV or getting CD's. One day I would like to understand about recording my voice..but, first things first...just want to enjoy singing. :) THANKS SO MUCH! Debbie

Here's a link to a site that may help you get started. Looks like you may have to download a plug in to hear the midi files.

I'm sure some surfing would find you some other sites you can sing to without much if any of an investment. This was the first one I ran into.

You're welcome...glad to help.

When you get a bit more comfortable with all this, you might want to download your own midi files. A good search engine for midis is at http://www.vanbasco.com They also have a free midi player that some say is quite good. I've never used it.

You can then copy and paste your own lyrics to sing from.

A good lyrics site is:

You could then sing to music of your own choosing.

After that the best option would be to purchase MTU's Karaoke suite. You then could put it all together and create your own CDG's through Karaoke Home Producer, and play them through Microstudio, singing to your own creations fom the p.c., and saving them to disc for future use when you can afford a Karaoke Player hooked up to your tv.

I have used a site called

I have a 128kbs connection speed and it worked quite well. They have a good selection of songs and you don't have to purchase any software just a small monthly subscription. I found this to be a good way to preview any new songs that you might be interested in before you purchase them.
