Sounds Funny

I'm sure this has been posted, but I skimmed through some, I think it would take me a couple of days to read through all the posts. I've taken a bunch of songs and removed the vocals, but the music sounds muffled especially if I take out all the vocals, or hear like computer squeaks in the background, staticy. They just don't sound right, am i doing something wrong, or is just every song I've tried just not working for me.

This might be the problem, I always leave the "Create Mono File For Karaoke" clicked, I either read in forums or manual, I know I read a few times to keep it clicked, becuase not all machines will play the song right. I use a twister II at this time. But I will try again, and post back to see if this helps out with my sound problems.
