My computer says it has the ethernet card on it but will not allow access to it at all. I need to know how to enable it or where to get a new one. I can't run this equiptment without it. Maybe I just need to send all this stuff back to MTU and pay someone else to do the work for me.

Karaoke Dan,
Click on your Start Menu, Settings, Control Panel. Once you have done this, you should see Local Area Connection Showing under this, if your network card is installed and correctly running.

If you don't see this then try the following:

1) Right Click on My computer Icon on your Desktop.

2) Left Click Properties

3) Left Click on Hardware

4) Left click the Device Manager Button

5) Now you should see a list of hardware in your computer. You should see an item that shows Network Adapters, left click on this.

6) You should see the type of Network card that you have installed in the computer now, double click on this. If on the next page that opens it states that the device is working correctly then it should be all working. If not, then it may be disabled and need to be reenabled.

Please post what you find.

Enabled network card but get new error message saying

NETWORK CABLE UNPLUGGED

Does that mean there is no card on my computer or that I need to do something else. ?

if you need to do a macid it should work- the new message just means you aren't connnected to the internet via the ethernet.

You don't need to be connected via ethernet to setup KPRO4- just the info from the macid is needed.

This is how I originally did it with my computer except I had to do the make floppy since at the time my computer wasn't connected to the internet at that time.
