I am new to Computer karaoke....... I have been from the old school for quite a while. But after using hoster for a few weeks now I have quit carrying my cd's as a backup, and Sold my old vocopro 8000. I still have a trusty 3 disk changer, and backup disks in the trailer, but They are no longer part of my set up and I only carry them in case of a catastrophic failure.
Hoster makes KJ'ing a lot easier. I am impressed with how well it works for the most part. No software is perfect, but hoster is a lot better than the competition. I have been to the competitions website, and they dont even reply to problems. The only Improvement I could see if MTU could work out a deal with the major CDG mfg's and supply preloaded Hoster machines with a license for the music. or even offer to sell downloaded music in the kma format.
