I purchaced a CD-RW from MTU, It arrived 2 weeks ago... the HOSTER DEMO v 1.209 does not see it as able to read CD+G disks when I go to the tool tabs and press detect drives, the Microstudio demo does not have a problem seeing it, only the Hoster demo, is there a problem with the Hoster Demo or my new CD-RW that I bought from MTU???

The Hoster demo currently does not support the newer drives, however the drives are fully supported in the full version of Hoster v2.014. Unfortunately this doesn't help you at all if you just want to try w/o purchasing. Here is the link (http://forum.mtu.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2409) with this info.

According to the MTU News (http://www.mtu.com/support/news.htm) page, Hoster 2.0 demo should be out today, looks like it has been pushed back, maybe we'll see it Monday? :)

In the meantime if you have any specific questions feel free to ask away, lots of knowledgable people here who can help. I know it doesn't take the place of hands-on experience...

Thanks,

Boy I left a message in the link and now I feel bad, I looked at the wrong place and saw the date that people registered here, and thought that was the posting date....:r anyways, I noticed that I can not delete my own messages, so I am left to leave it there for all to seee......which is fine, it helps to keep us humble!

well, I got some water to go take a walk on

Take care.

Can I ask why you did't just purchase the portable PC, those look very good, I think MTU has put together an excelent computer for HOSTER!

Flip,
Just so you know, give shuttle a call to make sure this system that you have "Under Construction", to make sure those will all work together. You are going to need more power than the power supply will give you, I think and will have problems.

This is just some things I have found with trying to do this. There is only a 200 watt power supply, and if you put all of what you state in it, you will eat that alive in no time, and have an unreliable system.

Alan,
The Hoster Demo doesn't yet support the 48x Plextor drive. I am hoping to get htis updated very soon. I am waiting on the engineers to fix this for me.
