I am getting an error message on one of our machines running 5.5 on XP. it says" unable to download DSP 56301 code".
This happened 2 days ago, and I was told that the solution is to unplug the krystal car and plug it back in. I did that and it worked.
Now, 2 days later, it is happening again. I do not want to disassemble the computer every time this happens. I have tried calling MTU, but no luck, no returned calls.
What can I do to keep this from happening?

Soundwookie,
This problem is either due to the Krystal board not working in your motherboard or the board has been damaged.

This system that you are referring to is out of warranty. What motherboard is in this system? What type of Processor, P4 or PIII?

Most likely the board has been damaged or has some broken solder joints or something of that nature to cause this problem. If you would like to send the board back to us, if its not the system causing the problem then you can. We can't guarantee we can fix this board at this time, but we can have the engineer try.

Our cost to do this is $120 initial charge, for up to 2hrs, and $60 per hour after the first 2 hours.

There is no way this system is out of warranty. We have 4, and you are getting it mixed up with a different, older one. That one we are having a different set of issues with. The one with the error pertaining to this thread is less than 6 months old.

Ok,
I thought you had told me that this was the system that was returned to your company from another individual.

If not this one, then can you give me the SN on the back of the system?

Sorry it took so long to reply, I have been mad busy.
The serial number is 61687433

This doesn't seem to be one of our serial numbers. Our serial numbers were a large sticker on the back that started as MSXX-XXXX-XX.

The X's are numbers. This is the number that I will need.

the only other sticker on the back has a serial bar and says:
SYS SN 29299.

I can only assume it means system serial number.
As for a large sticker that says MSXX-XXblah blah, it is either not there or on the bottom.

So what do I do?
