:? :? :? We bought the new MTU laptop and received it Feb 9, and have been loading discs ever since . The plextor burner which was in the laptop proved to be too slow, so we attached another bigger Plextor burner via USB and it helped. We really need to be able to speak to someone when we need tech help. We are not computer geeks as some of you appear to be. We have managed to get the dual display monitor working, but the colors are not right, and it is nearly impossible to see the "sweeping" of the words. It is a new flat panel monitor, and by hooking it up directly, we know it is not the monitor problem. By using the F7 which connects both monitors, the color is perfect and sweeps properly. Switching back to the Hoster dual monitor mode, the external monitor shows graphics but shows them in blue and green only. No white, no red no yellow....background is black. Colors are screwed up.....next problem....I purchased a new s video cord and s video adapter to RCA, plugging in the monitor which we use regularly shows nothing...but the monitor is plugged in and does "flash" when you turn it on or off. Hooking this monitor back to our system, it works fine. We have tried 2 other computer monitors which work with our regular system, but they won't work with the Hoster,,,,,is there something we need to turn on that has to do with the s video output?? looking in the system devices, it shows no s video to allow turn on or off.
This is 2 separate questions.......any help would be apprecoated. Pat

It sounds like you have your external monitor set to 16 Colors. You need to select 32 bit true color, if available. Otherwise, try the choice that looks to be the highest quality. To get to your monitor settings. Right Click on your desktop, then select Properties, Then I beleive it is the settings tab...Wayne
