I would be interested to know if it works for you. Didn't do anything for me. The laptop hum went away on it's own. Now I only get a hum from the CD player that also goes thru my amp, not from the laptop that's no matter how high I turn up the volume.:r

I'm also planning on using a Brick Wall Surge Suppressor (http://www.brickwall.com/pages/the-worlds-best-surge-protectors) along with an Uninterrupted Power Supply (conditions the power), in addition to the hum filter.

I should not have any humming goin on. :c

If I do have any after all this, I'll probably go with the Ebtech HE-8 Hum Eliminator 8-Channel Single Space Rack I saw at:
