Computer Lock-Up

I went and started up my laptop and it just stays on the Windows 7 Welcome page with the hourglass spinning. I took out the battery and rebooted, the same thing it's just stuck on that page...

Hum, this time I took the battery out for 5 min then rebooted. Seemed to do the trick...
