After change my Gygabite to a Asus CUSL2-C, my Krystal Card don't work, the IRQ is always 00.
The ME 5.4 don't accept the play command. I changed the PCI slot but don't work. Can someone help me?

----You are going to need to manually assign and change IRQs...How you do this depends on your BIOS and OS, but, if memory serves, you probably need to go in to BIOS and set things....Haven't done this in a while for Win98, which I assume is your OS....Every motherboard/BIOS combo has its own idiosyncrasies, and a new motherboard always means you have to go back and start from the beginning with your BIOS setup.....There may be a way to deal with this inside the OS, but I'm not enough of a computer whiz to tell you how.

Thank you, these may be the solution. The OS is 98SE and bios is Award. When i try to change the IRQ appears a message of not allowed operation ( the button "auto config" is off).

--It sounds as if you just transferred all of your cards and drives to the new board without re-installing things.

You should at least go through a "one-at-a-time" install of all cards and probably re-install MicroEditor, as well. This, by itself, may solve the problems, but I'm guessing that you are going to have to manually tweak the BIOS anyway.

Perhaps MTU has some experience with that motherboard.

iit must b done in the bios first

Somewhere in the Pci settings you should be able to set the Irq for the slot

Tell me if there is an option in the bios opening screen that says PCI.

I own 5 microsound systems and oversee 10 more
and have delt with this many times. but each bois is different

Give me call 50 825 1713 and i will walk you through it if you like

I just noticed your location !!!

That would be quite a long distance bill !

It must be set in the bios under the pci settings first
before windows will give it an irq other than 00

many times if you can't directly assign an irq to a slot you can set a range of first available irqs.

I am not always on line so when can we both be here to step by step walk you through ?

Hessell,
I am not sure if this Motherboard will work correctly with Krystal or not. The last few versions of the ASUS boards that I had tested, I couldn't get Krystal to run on them, due to ASUS having alot of built in stuff, that took IRQ's and things. We have only been shipping the ABIT motherboards for a while now, and this is all we recommend using.

For Celeron/PIII
Abit VH6-T (Microeditor 5.4.0.0)

For Pentium 4 Socket 478 chips Up to 1.6GHZ Processors Timing issues have been found on these boards faster than 1.6 GHZ
Abit TH7-II-Raid (Microeditor 5.4.0.0)
Abit SD-7-533 (Microeditor 5.4.0.0)
Abit BD-7 (Microeditor 5.4.0.0)

These are located at http://www.abit.com.tw/abitweb/webjsp/english/products.jsp

For Pentium 4 Socket 478 Chips 2.0 GHZ and faster Processors Using Windows Xp
Intel D845GBV- (Microeditor 5.500)
